Tour of the Alps 2021, bis di Moscon a Naturno

Ancora Gianni Moscon al Tour of the Alps 2021: dopo aver vinto a Innsbruck, il trentino in forza alla Ineos Grenadiers concede il bis imponendosi anche a Naturno, sede d’arrivo della terza tappa.

Partenza da Immst per 162 km ancora una volta caratterizzati da tanti saliscendi. La fuga che prende piede stavolta è ben nutrita e costituita da elementi di spessore, i quali, essendo fuori classifica, ricevono il via libera da parte del gruppo.

A comporla sono Matteo Fabbro e Felix Großschartner (Bora-hansgrohe), Hermann Pernsteiner (Bahrain-Victorious), François Bidard (Ag2r-Citroen), Tejay Van Garderen (EF-Nippo), Luis Leon Sanchez (Astana), Alessandro De Marchi (Israel Start-Up Nation), Michael Storer (Team DSM), Antonio Nibali (Trek-Segafredo) e Gianni Moscon (Ineos Grenadiers).

Sulla salita di Tarres, Moscon cerca l’allungo e viene seguito da Fabbro, Großschartner e Storer. Poco dietro gli altri attaccanti, tuttavia già tagliati fuori dal successo finale.

Ad anticipare la volata è ancora una volta lo stesso Moscon, che trova lo spunto per precedere Grossschartner e Storer, mentre gli italiani Fabbro, De Marchi e Nibali sono rispettivamente quarto, quinto e sesto.

Non cambia la classifica generale, dove Simon Yates (BikeExchange) conserva 45″ di vantaggio su Pavel Sivakov (Ineos Grenadiers) e 1’04” su Pello Bilbao (Bahrain – Vicitorious).
